What to expect after the treatment?You many have some swelling in the skin in the first 24 hours after treatment. Your age spots and pigmentation will darken in the treated area. After around 1-3 weeks these darkened spots will flake off leaving a clearer, more youthful appearance.
How long will the treatment last?
This depends on lifestyle and sun exposure. To maintain maximum benefit you need to be sun aware and keep applying a good quality sun block at all times.
Does the treatment hurt?
No, the light flashes are the most distracting part. Your eyes are covered with protective eyewear
Is it safe?
Yes. At your consultation, you will have a patch test to determine the best settings for your skin.
How long does the procedure take?
Usually around half an hour but this may be shorter if a small, specific site is to be treated.
How quickly does it work?
The darkening of the pigmentation can occur almost immediately after the treatment. This often takes a couple of weeks to resolve and repeat treatments are booked at monthly intervals. You may require 3-5 treatments for optimum results, and a maintenance treatment every 1-2 years.
