Dr Cat's News Update - November 2019 name

Wow, it’s hard to believe November is upon us already, and that it has been a year since we opened the Takapuna clinic! It’s been an incredible year of growth at Takapuna, and we are delighted to introduce our new medical skin therapist Raechel, who will be mainly based at the Takapuna clinic. Raechel is highly experienced and is currently going through our extensive onboarding and training process, to ensure she is well versed in the unique TFP systems and treatments that we offer. She is an incredible therapist who is totally passionate about creating change in the skin, and we can’t wait for you to start having treatments with her. Welcome to the team, Raechel!

It’s been a big month of media around our new book, ’Grow Younger With Great Food’, with a radio interview of me and Jess on The Hits, with Toni and Laura, which you can access here and a fabulous TV interview on The Cafe with Mel Homer and Mike Puru, where Jess cooked a couple of favourite recipes in the kitchen - Baked Fish Parcels, and Anytime Crumble. You can check out the replay here.

Woman’s Day featured some of our recipes plus some awesome book reviews from Newsroom and Dish. I want to extend a massive ’thank you’ to every one of you who has bought the book or supported us by sharing the posts, recipes and news - we couldn’t do it without your support.

We’re excited to launch the e-book version of the book, which means you can take it with you on an iPad or smartphone - and it also has clickable links that allow you to click through to referenced recipes or information. Many people are getting both the book and the e-book version!

This week I’m heading over to an incredible conference in Sydney with some of our medical team. Many of my friends who are top trainers globally will be attending, and it has a fantastic lineup of speakers and topics. I’m excited for us to bring back some new ideas and concepts... Whether it is small tweaks or large leaps, we are constantly growing and developing.

The following weekend, I will be the only NZ doctor speaking at the first Global Virtual Aesthetic Summit (GVAS). Many of the other speakers at GVAS are the superstars and rock stars of our industry, and what is unique is that it can all be accessed from a computer or even a laptop at the beach!

This conference is targeted at industry rather than consumers, but if you are part of the industry, I would encourage you to sign up - not only do you get access to some of the top industry players, you continue to have access to all sessions for 30 days after GVAS goes live, meaning you can go back and watch any sessions you might have missed due to clashes or time constraints!

If you are on ’live’ you can hang out in the chat rooms and chat with other attendees, ask questions of the speakers, or visit the virtual exhibition hall, where there are loads of great (industry related) prizes to be won. Best of all, you don't have to pay for flights, accommodation and a massive entry ticket price (some of the conferences I attend are hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a single entry ticket!)

Now that the sun is out, we’ve stopped providing IPL for skin rejuvenation, although IPL hair reduction continues through, as long as you can keep the area away from sun exposure.

With the holiday season upon us, we are starting to book up, so make sure you call us now to ensure that you get the appointments you want before the Christmas break!

Have another incredible month! Enjoy the sunshine, and remember your sunscreen!

Sending the biggest hugs,

Dr Cat 😻😘
