Felicia may be new to us but she’s not new to cosmedicine, with extensive NZ experience in injectables, plus several years of nursing experience overseas prior to that. She’s also a dedicated body sculptor! We sat down with her to find out more.
After several years in emergency nursing, what led you to make the change to cosmedicine?
I’ve always had a passion for cosmedicine and body sculpting, so this was a way to combine both my passions. It also allows me to spend more time with clients and build relationships with them.
What do you enjoy about treating patients with injectables?
A client’s overall journey and transformation. Changing a client’s external features can internally empower, strengthen and give them overall more self-confidence on the inside and out potentially changing their life. I’m here to create a better version of themselves.
I love sculpting faces like I do bodies - there is a real art and science to it.
How do you think your experience in hospitals benefits your role now?
I still work with people with underlying conditions, where their treatment plan has to be compatible with the procedure. I will always view clients holistically.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Australia. While living abroad in Abu Dhabi I met my Kiwi husband.
What did you like about working in Abu Dhabi?
I loved the country, from its glitz and glam to its people, culture, and customs. I also got to meet many other ex-pats from all different walks of life. A memorable moment was caring for a member of the royal family. Other moments were taking advantage of four days off and traveling the world.
As a personal trainer, what's your number one fitness tip?
Consistency! It’s OK to have one bad day, enjoy yourself and get back to the routine.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
Spend time with the family, gym, travel, read - and I also do candle making.
What are you looking forward to about working at The Face Place?
Working with an amazing team who share similar goals and interests!
Felicia is predominantly based at our Takapuna clinic except for Wednesdays in Britomart.
