Under eye hollows

We can help with under-eye hollowing (tear troughs) by injecting dermal fillers to lift the tissue, and so blend the lower eyelid skin with that of the cheeks. It is a relatively simple procedure, and when done by an experienced clinician, the result creates a fresh, rejuvenated eye area.

Loss of volume and fatty tissue results in the formation of tear trough hollows - the under-eye hollowing that creates tired, dark eyes.

Under eye hollows FAQ

Will I need an initial consultation?

Yes, as with all of our services, you must have an initial-consultation before proceeding with your first treatment - regardless of if you have had this treatment elsewhere. This ensures you are fully educated and informed before proceeding with treatment. We are a best-practice clinic and consistently deliver optimal results by placing paramount importance on education and informed consent.

What is the best treatment for under-eye hollows?

  • Dermal filler is an effective method for treating under-eye hollows as they can restore the lost volume, with subtle and natural results.

  • Platlet-Rich Plasma (PRPcan also be effective in thickening the under-eye skin, softening hollows, and reducing skin crêpeynes.

  • Our Bright Eyes Package is a fantastic option to combat under-eye hollows - it combines dermal filler, PRP, and topical skincare.

Is dermal filler for under-eye hollows safe?

There are some risks that come with treating this area and we outline these during our consultation process.

We only use HA fillers (Hyaluronic Acid) at The Face Place. These fillers are made from naturally occurring sugar molecules found in the human body - only in a stabilized form.  Our experienced clinicians will know exactly where and how best to place the filler, ensuring the best results as safely as possible.

Is under-eye filler permanent?

No, under-eye filler is temporary and will last approximately 10 -15 months . If you don't like the results, we can immediately remove the filler using an enzyme called Hyalase, which naturally breaks down the filler, leaving your face exactly how it was prior to the treatment
