While many of you know our front desk team and clinicians, TFP also has a small behind-the-scenes team making sure we spread the word about all our excellent services. Yvette Johnson has just joined us as Marketing Manager – she’s new to the world of medspas but has tons of valuable brand-building experience. Read on to find out more about our latest star!
What drew you to choose marketing as a career?
Your first marketing jobs were in much more male-dominated industries than TFP. What was that like?
From learning how to use a chainsaw, working in the building supply industry followed by the fishing tackle and cycling industries, I’ve worked with a range of well-known brands with a mostly male-dominated market. It was exciting to learn about the brands, products and technologies and to implement strategies to a completely different market that I personally wouldn’t sit in.
Understanding the demand in that specific market but also exploring ways to target the growing female customers within the different industries was an exciting learning opportunity.
What ideas and skills translate to TFP, even though they are very different?
Understanding the customer journey for any brand is the first and foremost. This allows us to better understand our clients, what they need and expect and present opportunities to enhance their experience with TFP whether it be through a service or a product, online or face to face.
We are looking forward to your insights on marketing to men. What do you think could appeal to them at TFP?
TFP does have a portion of male clientele, but for those who are hesitant on considering or booking a treatment with us, I would say that our approach of less is more and belief that self-care isn’t about vanity would appeal. We break stigmas at TFP and we offer a safe, confidential space with an experienced team who can share all the information about our treatments and benefits upfront for a seamless experience.
What are you most looking forward to about working at TFP?
There is so much I am looking forward to in this role and joining the team! TFP are leaders in the cosmedicine industry, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a highly skilled and passionate team. I love the values that TFP brand and team hold so I am looking forward to collectively continuing to create exceptional cosmedicine experiences for our clients.
What has been your experiences with skincare and injectables so far?
I have previously had one treatment of Botox earlier this year for jaw clenching which made a huge difference in reducing tension and pain.
Skincare, makeup and general self-care have always been an interest of mine. I would try all sorts of brands and products however have never fully understood what my skin needed, what I should be using or what the difference was with medical-grade skincare. I am really looking forward to learning more about our treatments, products and understanding the benefits our clients are experiencing.
What treatments are you most curious to try?
I’m curious about the PRP/ Vampire Facial treatments and the Healite II treatment. I’ve been introduced to medical-grade skincare since starting at TFP and am enjoying seeing the changes it is starting to make for me personally.
How did you feel starting a new role over lockdown – not an easy time!
Starting in lockdown was certainly challenging at times but TFP team have been incredibly supportive welcoming and understanding.
The interview process was also in lockdown so having a first interview from the comfort of your own home made it a little less nerve-wracking!
I’ve managed to put names to faces over video calls and it has been wonderful to finally meet everyone in person when we were able to open the clinic.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love music of all kinds, swimming, baking and spending quality time with family and friends, a day at the beach, exploring the markets or just enjoying a platter and a glass of rosé in the sun!
