Thread Lifting Treatments
Thread lifting is a non-surgical procedure designed to lift, tighten, and rejuvenate the skin for a more youthful appearance. At The Face Place, we offer Sculpt Threads, Ponytail Threads (both by Xytide), and Mint PDO Threads - premium, TGA-approved and Medsafe-listed threads known for their safety, quality, and long-lasting results.
These treatments are performed by highly trained medical professionals to ensure natural-looking outcomes and minimal downtime.
How Do Threads Work?
PDO (polydioxanone) threads are biocompatible sutures inserted under the skin to create an immediate lifting effect. Over the following months, they stimulate collagen production, helping the skin become firmer, smoother, and more youthful in texture. The threads naturally dissolve over time, leaving behind your body’s own collagen for results that can last up to 12–18 months.
The First Steps: Consultation
Every thread lift treatment begins with a personalised consultation. During this appointment, your Doctor will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and desired outcomes, and create a customised treatment plan. You’ll also receive information on what to expect before, during, and after your procedure so you feel confident every step of the way.
Sculpt Threads, Ponytail Threads are Class IIb medical devices approved for use in New Zealand under the Medicines Act 1981 and the Medicines (Database of Medical Devices) Regulations 2003. They contain Polydioxanone (PDO) and are designed for Non-surgical facial lifting and skin rejuvenation. PDO Threads must be administered by a trained healthcare professional. All medicines, medical devices and treatments carry risks and benefits. Individual results will vary. Speak to one of our qualified Cosmedicine Doctors to see what might be right for you and to explain the possible side effects.
