Dr Jenni's August Update

July was a busy month for me. I was grateful to get away for a week during the school holidays with my family. We hired a campervan and explored parts of the South Island. We managed to see the whales in Kaikoura, get stuck in the mud in Hamner Springs with the torrential rains and see the Franz Joseph glacier. It was a great family holiday and yes, we still like each other after such close confines.

I attended the Aesthetics AU conference in Sydney. They had some superb speakers this year, both local and international. There was a lot of discussion about current issues in our industry and treatments available.

The Aesthetics industry is at the forefront of longevity medicine. This relates to both our general health and skin health. As a result of this, we need to remain sceptical and question the science behind the new products coming onto the market. Do they deliver what they say they will and are we sure they are doing no harm. The future is focused on rejuvenating our skin and maintaining a well hydrated healthy skin. Those of you who have had a consultation with me will know I am passionate about skin health. This should be a priority when we are on our anti-aging journey.

It has now been 1 year since I took over the reigns of The Face Place from Cat. What an adventure this year has been. I have learnt a lot from the phenomenal team around me. As a team, we are growing, we are keeping up with best practice and advancing our knowledge and we are having fun.

Thank you for your support over the last 12months. Without you we would not be.

Thank you to the amazing team at The Face Place.

Hope you all have a wonderful August
