Reflections on My Journey and Expanding Treatment Offerings at The Face Place

How quickly time has passed—it is almost unbelievable that I am now entering my third month as the owner of The Face Place. This period has been both exciting and transformative as I work towards implementing my vision for the clinic.

My primary goal from the outset was to introduce new, evidence-based treatments that would enhance and diversify our service offerings. By broadening our portfolio, we can better address the various aspects of facial ageing and provide more comprehensive care to our clients.

This month marks the introduction of Sculptra to our range of treatments. Sculptra is an injectable product designed to stimulate collagen and elastin production, which in turn improves skin quality and firmness. It is particularly effective for addressing general facial ageing and sagging, and importantly, it does not widen or volumise the face. This makes it an excellent option for those seeking natural-looking rejuvenation.

Sculptra also offers significant benefits for skin changes associated with the use of new weight loss injections, commonly referred to as "Ozempic Face." The GLP1 RA medications used for weight loss can unfortunately suppress fibroblast activity, leading not only to a loss of facial volume due to weight loss but also to reduced skin firmness and elasticity. Sculptra helps to address both of these concerns by supporting the skin’s underlying structure.

I am a strong advocate for a multimodal approach to ageing gracefully. With the right combination of advanced tools and treatments, we can achieve superior results for our clients, helping them to look and feel their best at every stage of life.
